Seen on San Diego, CA Craig's List on June 05, 2008. The posting text is as shown below:

    1967 Jaguar 420 - $22500 (Santee)

    Date: 2008-06-05, 4:09PM PDT

Rare straight 6, 4.2 liter engine completely rebuilt. Stainless exhaust, straight body, rebuilt brake booster and master cylinder, as well as brakes all around, sky blue metallic paint, wood interior completely refinished to a beautiful luster, spoke rims with knock-off hubs. Most chrome re-dipped. Just needs your finishing touches.

    Email me with any questions.

Good luck and thanks for looking!

Because of the limited time of Craig's List posting it is useless to post a direct link to that posting. Email contact produced an answer that the owner purchased the car from his father and is in the process of restoration. Work is apparently 95-96 % done. Photos show a reasonably nice job but certainly not Concours level quality, more like a decent daily driver. Check out the photos for clarification.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
