Opening bid $15,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 4 days left in auction. Complete VIN on this car is J67P1F25451BW.
Sellers description:
This is truly a one of a kind. This gorgeous 420 Jag is still in the name of the original owners family. The car was purchased by a famous Hungarian fashion designer in San Fransisco, new in 1967. She drove the car until she passed several years later. Her son and daughter, who are on the pink slip (and I mean PINK slip) inherited the car and have kept it in Los Angeles, garaged, ever since. The car has been used on a regular but seldom basis and always maintained well, mostly by Radcliff at British Car Care on Broadway in Santa Monica, Ca. The car still uses the original black CA licience plate it came with. The original color black paint has been redone once. The original color black seats have been redone once. Other then that the car is original and in fantastic condition. There are some flaws as can be expected from a car of its age. It shows no signs of rust, rot or repair. There is some slight bubbling in the middle of one door but thats it. The car is incredibly straight and the fit is excellent. I runs and drives as it should and the ride is superb. It is amazing how flat it corners considering it is a 67 and a sedan. The car has 82000 ORIGINAL miles. It has books, manuals etc.

Are there any chips that are larger than a pinhead? if yes where?-----Not really but there are tree sap stains This may be original paint and the car is a 1967. Being such a solid car it deserves a paint job

1967 JAGUAR 420 Black on Black - IDEAL ROLLING RESTO - $7,500
Great retro lines, Black-on-Black
I purchased this Malibu car about a year ago, thinking I'd gradually restore it and enjoy driving it occasionally, but I'm travelling internationally too much right now and it's been in professional secure (inside) auto storage since I bought it (I've only driven it about 10 miles).
I think it's an IDEAL RESTORATION PROJECT -- in really decent shape, dry California car (I bought it from second owner). Upholstery great, starts and runs and I'd drive it 5-10miles (surface streets, just to be safe..).
It could use some tuning of the SU Carbs and an adjustment of the 'cold start' Aux Starting Carb.
Paint not perfect, but decent enough for rolling restoration. Rechroming is probably the next project.
I realise this is not one of the most desirable/classic models, but it has a great retro classic vibe.
First owner (designer) purchased new in SFO -- really very solid original shape.
Bob's Comments:
I emailed the owner and he has made some improvements. There is some detention since 2020. The present owner bought it at the end of 2023. This might be the car for you If you want to do a driving restoration.
