This 1965 Jaguar S-Type is powered by a small-block Chevrolet V8 equipped with Edelbrock cylinder heads and backed by a 3-speed Turbo 400 automatic transmission. Additional modifications include an upgraded radiator, auxiliary fans, and aftermarket tachometer. The drivetrain swap was installed under previous ownership, and approximately 2,000 miles have been driven by the seller over the past year. Recent maintenance included front-end suspension work, new braking components, and fresh tires. This S-Type is offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The body has reportedly been repainted in the past. Exterior trim includes chrome bumpers, clear side markers, and red tail lights. Knock-off wire wheels are mounted with new Hankook tires, and the brakes were recently serviced according to the seller.
Tan vinyl seats are joined by black carpets and a matching headliner. A factory steering wheel fronts a burl wood dash housing stock Smiths gauges as well as an AutoMeter tachometer. Just over 14k miles are indicated on the 5-digit odometer, with total mileage unknown. The car is not equipped with A/C and no stereo is currently installed.
The powertrain swap was reportedly performed by a previous owner in the 1990s and includes a small-block Chevrolet V8 featuring Edelbrock cylinder heads and 4-barrel carburetor. Shifting is through a 3-speed Turbo 400 automatic transmission. The car is said to run warm, though it has an upgraded radiator and cooling fans. It has been driven daily over the past year. Recent maintenance is said to have included front-end suspension work, during which a driver-side control arm was replaced.
