Ebay item 8/7/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1964-Jaguar-3-8S-NO-RESERVE-AUCTION-/251316281394
Current bid $5,000, no reserve 1 bid 4 days left in auction. 89k miles.

Sellers description:
Purchased a year ago after 30+ years in safe and comfortable hibernation, this beautiful version of the classic and original sport sedan is now completed and ready to provide the eager Jaguar connoisseur miles and miles of driving bliss. Circumstances dictate that she go to a new loving home, certainly not my intention when undertaking the restoration last year.

Fortunately, the condition of the vehicle was very clean and it was stored properly. So, our work only included replacing and/or rebuilding the carburetors, fuel lines, plugs, wires, distributor, battery, brake pads, calipers, rotors, suspension bushings, tires, gas tanks, and fuel pumps at a final cost of approximately $9,000. The body was re-sprayed, but only due to a 45+ year age. No body work was required. This car was properly sorted with original parts supplied by SNG Barratt and other recognized Jaguar providers. The vehicle drives true and fast and shines like the sun. The interior as you can see is in very original and clean shape, showing beautiful patina but no damage to the finished wood or leather. You will have the pleasure of completing the transformation with some minor improvements that I just can't get to now. The condition is somewhere between daily driver and show quality, not a Concourse vehicle, but incredibly clean and straight.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
