    Auction description:
    Jaguar S-Type 3.8 Saloon
Classics Cars, Barons (10th September 2006)
    Overview
This example has the highly desirable 3.8 XK engine under the bonnet, which is mated to a three-speed Borg Warner automatic transmission. It is blessed with another very desirable option, which is power steering. Said to have benefited from an engine rebuild, auto box rebuild, new leather and new headlining, the car is described as being in good order throughout.Finished in opalescent metallic blue with dark blue leather, the car is said to have featured in the Television advertising campaign for the new S-Type in 1998. The car has seen little recent use due to an absent owner (100 miles since last MoT), which is why it is offered for sale.Great value, classic Jaguar with desirable options and which now has a NEW MoT certificate through to Sept 2007.

    Details
Offered here is the definitive S-Type; 3.8 engine, auto box, opalescent metallic silver blue livery and chrome wire wheels. In addition to all of these plus points, the car has an extensive history file and has recently benefited from an expensive repaint, new leather front seat covers, conversion to Vicarage rack and pinion steering and a modern electronic ignition system.

The car is said to be totally reliable and capable of cruising at or in excess of the UK speed limit. It starts first time, every time and is said to be a joy to drive.

Half the price of an equivalent MKII with better ride and better handling, this S-Type offers exceptional value and comes complete with a new MoT and new owners manual.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
