Car to be at auction 3/12
www.coys.co.uk/auction.php

Auction description:
Lot 354 - 1965 Jaguar S-Type
Estimate: £10,000 - £14,000
Registration Number: KBY 50C
Chassis Number: PIB54728BW

This 1965 example was purchased by the current owner some 22 years ago and has been lovingly maintained throughout his ownership. In 2002 Jaguar specialists CMC were commissioned to restore the car, completed in 2004 at an eventual cost of £32,000, and to upgrade the car to manual transmission. Finished in gold, the original leather interior remains fortunately as if it is just worn in showing a wonderful patina.

This fine S-Type is supplied with invoices substantiating the work carried out by CMC as well as an original handbook, current road fund licence, MoT certificate valid until June and a V5 document, this remains an excellent example of one of Jaguars all time great saloon cars.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
