Auction description:
Auction Date: 03 March 2011
Lot 300 - 1964 Daimler V8 250 Saloon
* Registration: JMP540B
* Chassis Number: P.1A5871BW
* Engine Number: 7A.6266
* Odometer reading: 60,050
* Estimate: No reserve

Presented in Golden Sand with the original contrasting red leather upholstery, this fully running example has remained in the ownership of the vendor for many years. In fact the last and only change took place in 1967 making this a genuine two owner car. It comes complete with original toolkit and owner's handbook as well as an MoT test certificate valid until 23rd April 2011. A good running car, requiring light restoration and offered today at no reserve.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
