Ebay item 9/26/12 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967-Jaguar-MK2-Pair-Original-California-Cars-registerer ...
Car being sold as a pair with P181415. Current bid $20,100 reserve not met, 7 bids 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description (also see description for car P181415):
1967 Jaguar MK2 Manual: This is a 3.4 litre car, mated to a 4 speed manual transmission. This car is completely rust free, and numbers matching, it is a true California car. This car runs and drives beautifully. The odometer reads 83,347 miles. VIN# P181272. .
The paint is in good condition, but does have a few chips and blemishes, mostly on the front of the car near the grill, some minor scratches in the driver's door, similar to the other car it is paired with. The front passenger side quarter panel has be repaired and repainted at some point, but looks to be a decent repair, not very noticeable. Overall the paint is in good shape. The doors open and close nicely, fit and gaps are nice, the windows wind up and down easily, but like the automatic, the windshield washers do not work. The car is equipped with chrome wire rims and the tyres have plenty of tread all round. All the glass is clear and with no cracks.
Starting from cold the car runs with a smooth idle that remains even once warm. It has a lot of power, smooth through the entire R.P.M range, and good oil pressure, the engine sounds very healthy, and there is no sign of smoke from the exhaust and it does not "run on" when turned off. The engine has been professionally gone through about 5 years ago, and everything is in great shape. The car shows no sign of overheating, even as it sits at idle for long periods of time. On the road it feels great, this car drives lovely. The ride is very smooth, yet responsive. The steering is very light, and easy to steer even at low speed, this car has power steering. The ride is firm yet forgiving and the handling over all is very pleasant. The brakes feel good, car stops very well, and it pulls up straight. The hand brake is snug, and works, along with the hand brake warning light. There is no suspension noise or tracking, alignment feels good, and the car travels down the road quietly. The transmission shifts lovely, very smooth operation, and the clutch feels the way it should, lots of life left on it, no slips or grinds, a very quite gear box, making for an extremely pleasing drive.
The gauges all work, and are original, and look the part. The window wipers work, both fast and low setting via the traditional toggle switch. The interior light switch works as it should, as does the horn. Even the in-dash cigar lighter works, though neither cars smell as though they have been smoked in. The head liner looks great, as do the sun visors, which are upholstered to match. The car has the original wood for the interior trim, it is in amazing unrestored condition, a byproduct of the car being stored in a garage all its life. The electrical system looks generally unmolested. The interior is complete, and looks good, there a few small imperfections, after market radio speakers. All the seats are original and in excellent, like new condition. The interior of this Jaguar is very comfortable, a very pleasant place to be. The carpet is in good shape and has been used lightly. The vent control that opens the vent on the hood works well. Car has a spare tyre and original jack, as well as the original operating manual.
