Ebay item 6/2/16
www.ebay.com/itm/322130163384
Current bid US $5,655.00
Reserve not met, 10 bids 3 days left in auction, seller lilobird, 34k miles.

Sellers description:
1967 Jaguar Mark II 340 Sedan. I have owned this car since 1976. Original matching numbers, engine, and transmission. The car hasn't run since it was put into Hangar storage in 1980.

It has the original engine to the car, a 3.4L DOHC Inline 6 with twin SU Carburetors. The engine rotates freely (not seized). The car has the original 4 speed Manual transmission with Synchro-mesh on all 4 gears. This is the same Jaguar transmission that was used on the same model year E-type. The rest of the drive-train rotates freely. The transmission and differential don't leak.

The interior on the '67 Jaguar 340 is original vinyl seating. The seats are in very good condition. Not all the carpeting is intact. The factory supplied wood veneer finishes are in excellent condition, having been restored by the owner in the late '70s. With the exception of the carpeting, the interior is complete, including original wool headliner.

Overall the body is in good shape with typical rust in the rocker-sill areas. The right rear quarter-panel has a dent where another vehicle backed into it. The right rear passenger window glass has shattered, but is in place. All other glass is intact and in good shape. All chrome trim is intact and presentable.

I enjoyed this car for 5 years and put it in storage with a plan to restore it at a later date. When it was parked, all the electrics were functional. Over time some components, such as the carburetors, brakes, and heater were removed from the car and prepped for restoration. All removed parts are included in the sale. The car comes 99% complete.

This car has been in indoor hangar storage since it was parked. It was my intent to someday restore the car to her former glory, however, too many other projects got in the way. This car would make a good restoration project or would be a significant source of original Jaguar parts.

Car returns to ebay 1/7/17

Current bid US $2,550 reserve not met 3 bids 4 days left in auction, seller tim66ah, car now said to be in Cherry Valley, Illinois, 67k miles.

Sellers description:
1967 Jaguar MK2 340. Selling because I don't have the time to finish.
Here's the history as I know. It was purchased new in the Chicago Are by the original owner. It had a respray in mid 1970. The second owner was also in a Chicago Suburb and purchased this Jag in 1978. It was used for two a few years as he was attending college. It was parked when he bought a new BMW in 1980ish. It had been parked until early 2016 when I purchased it from him. Some work had been started years ago and it didn't get very far though. I inspected it and decided to remove the engine and freshen things up. So out came the engine and the engine got a rebuild with lots of new parts, including pistons, bearings, timing chains and components. The original cylinder head had corrosion in it so was swapped with a straight port head with intake and 2 inch HS carbs from a Euro 3.4 XJ6. It has new water pump, hoses and much more. The power steering system was rebuilt/ resealed. The hydraulics are all new and has 4 piston calipers up front and XJ6 calipers in rear. The exhaust system is new old stock mild steel.

The body is pretty good the main structure is solid. The rockers are good with the exception of the front area at lower fenders. The lower rear quarter panels edge has some bubbles to. The right rear quarter panel had been bumped and has been tapped out and would need minor filler to complete. The floors are great as you can see with the supplied pictures with the seats and carpeting removed. It needs some body work as shown and a new paint would make it look great. I intended on using it as is.

The interior is in good condition as for the wood which seems to have been well restored at some point. The carpet is new. The light color fabric on the back of the front seats is well worn and I have material to fix them included. I have manuals, paint and bits included. Its a driveable project. I have only driven it in my yard due to winter weather. It will probably need some fine tuning and adjustments to be fully roadworthy. Drive as you finish restoring!
