Opening bid $1,500 reserve not met 0 bids 5 days left in auction, seller jakescla47, 99k miles listed, car now in Ramona, California.

Seller's description:

Very restorable 1967 Jaguar 340. There are not many of these for sale currently. The 3.4 motor gave this model good power while mated to an automatic transmission that was also used by Rolls Royce at this time. Car is located in Southern California. These classics can bring a high price which makes this a great deal. We do not have title paperwork at this time (paperwork was lost in fire) and will assist buyer in rebuilding the title if needed.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
