Auction description:
Lot No: 501
Two owners from new
1966 Jaguar 3.4 MkII
Registration no. JLM 147D
Chassis no. P170237BW
Engine no. KJ 8629-8
Sold for £3,565 inclusive of Buyer's Premium
An automatic transmission model, this 3.4-litre Mk2 'barn find' was first owned by a Dr Ernest Landau of Sloane Street, London SW1, passing in 1972 to the current vendor, who is only the car's second owner from new. Following the outbreak of the 'Yom Kippur' war in 1973, the Jaguar was put in garage storage as a result of the ensuing petrol shortage and has remained there ever since. Started sporadically, most recently three years ago, it will require full restoration before returning to the road and thus is sold strictly as viewed. The vehicle is offered with old-style logbook. No reserve.
