Ebay item 3/28/07 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $1,136, no reserve, 6 bids, 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
THIS IS A NICE ORIGINAL RARE LOW MILEAGE 1967 JAGUAR 420G. IT APPEARS TO BE ALL CORRECT AND ORIGINAL WITH EXCEPTION OF THE LATE MODEL JAGUAR ALLOY WHEELS. CAR RECENTLY RECEIVED A HIGH QUALITY PAINT JOB. ALL CHROME AND TRIM WERE REMOVED, CAR WAS STRIPPED AND COMPLETELY REFINISHED. THE DOOR PANELS AND SEATS WERE REDONE AS WELL. THE CAR HAS BEEN GONE THROUGH MECHANICALLY WITH THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS INVESTED AND NUMEROUS ITEMS REBUILT OR REPLACED: NEW EXHAUST, REBUILT CARBURETORS, FRONT AND REAR DISK BRAKE UPGRADE, ONE NEW FUEL TANK AND ONE REMANUFACTURED FUEL TANK, AND NEW TIRES. CAR HAS BEEN HANDLED A BIT SINCE THE PAINT JOB AND THERE ARE A FEW SMALL SCRATCHES A CHIP HERE AND THERE. ALSO ONE SMALL DENT ON TOP OF THE LEFT REAR FENDER JUST FORWARD OF THE TAILIGHT. . ENGINE RUNS SMOOTH HOWEVER I THINK IT NEEDS A COIL. I HAVE A TEST IGNITION BOX THAT I USE TO START IT. I CAN DEMONSTRATE THAT IT RUNS AND DRIVES, BUT THE TEST BOX DOES NOT COME WITH THE CAR. THIS SHOULD BE AN INEXPENSIVE REPAIR. THE INTERIOR NEEDS SOME RE-ASSEMBLY THAT WAS NOT COMPLETED AFTER THE PAINT AND INTERIOR WORK WERE DONE. FOR EXAMPLE: THE SILL PLATES NEED TO BE INSTALLED, THE RADIO AND CONSOLE NEED TO SECURED AND WIRED. SOME OF THE DASH SWITCHES NEED TO BE PROPERLY MOUNTED AND THE STEERING COLUMN NECK NEED S TO BE PROPERLY TIGHTENED. THE INTERIOR WOOD IS FADED AND PEELING AND WILL NEED TO BE REFINISHED. MOST OF THE EXTERIOR TIM AND BADGES ARE IN THE TRUNK. THE WINDSHIELD HAS A CRACK AND SHOULD BE REPLACED. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS INTO ALL GEARS AND THE BRAKES WORK WELL AND THE PEDAL FEELS FIRM. ALL IN ALL THIS IS A RARE NICE LOW MILEAGE VERY COMPLETE AND ORIGINAL RARE JAG 420G. WITH NOT MUCH FINISHING THIS WOULD BE A $25,000 CAR. THE CAR IS LOCATED IN ROCKLAND COUNTY NEW YORK ABOUT 30 MILES NORTH OF NEW YORK CITY. WITH THE STATUS OF THE IGNITION SYSTEM, THE CAR MUST BE TOWED.
