Ebay item 11/23/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-MK1-1959-Jaguar-MK1-Pan-American-Winner-Race-Car- ...
Opening bid $10,000 reserve not met, no bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1959 Jaguar MK 1 Race Car. This vehicle won the 1998 Pan American in its class. It has also recently been raced in VARA and HSR events at the Willow Springs Raceway in the California Desert.

Professionally built by Winning Makes of Santa Barbara, (Julian Masters), the car is now available for purchase for your vintage racing enjoyment or collection.

Features:
3.8 Litre Engine
Weber Carburetors
Manual Transmission
4-Wheel Disc Brakes
Fuel Cell
Full Roll Cage
Central Instrument Gauge Cluster
MOMO Seats w/Schroth Racing Restraints etc.... VARA and HSR Compliant
Many Modifications Including Body, Engine Mounts and Suspension
Custom Lexan Slider Windows
Currently Ready for the PAN AM with few if any Modifications
Includes a Second Set of Rims with Tires
23.5' Haulmark Dual Axle Enclosed Trailer; Tie-Downs w/Torsion Bar Hitch & Diamond-Plate Ramp

Condition:
Jaguar: All maintenance performed by Winning Makes. Copies of all maintenance invoices are available since the owner has owned the vehicle. The car has a valid California registration. The battery was temporarily installed to start the car for the photographs. Some stress marks were noticed on portions of the body on the D/S front fender. A tear on the P/S rear wheel well was also noticed. This Jaguar is not a show car, but a well built racer. It would most likely cost well over $100k to duplicate.
Make it yours.

Trailer: Good condition with the exception of two dents on the lower front, right hand side. An aluminum strip shows some damage from loading the car by the loading ramp that holds down the vinyl flooring. The imperfections mentioned are very minor in my opinion. All in all, this rig is ready to roll.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
