Ebay item 8/17/13 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1961-Jaguar-Mark-IX-/221268933455
Opening bid $12,000, no reserve no bids 7 days left in auction. 6k miles.
Sellers description:
In the mid 80's the car was restored and the receipts show a total of over $16,000. This included all new chrome, paint, leather upholstery, wood refinished, headliner and air conditioning added. The power steering box was just rebuilt and it steers straight going down the road. The mileage shown I assume was since it was restored. I purchased the Jaguar from Arizona and the underside is completely solid showing no rust or repair.
There are some of the typical Jaguar/Lucas electrical that need attending to involving cleaning connections. The carpet only shows wear on the drivers side. The leather shows no tears and is soft. There is one minor dent in the passenger side rear wheel fender. Paint has been maintained and touched up. This is a great rust free car professionally restored with the correct materials and shows very well. Save money over the Exotic Car Dealers who use vinyl instead of leather and quick paint jobs that will show thru rust in time. This Jaguar has held up very well over the last 28 years and it shows.
