Current bid $15,000, no reserve, 18 bids, 5 days left in auction. 94k miles.

Sellers description:
1960 Jaguar Mark IX 4 door sedan, in very nice original condition. The 220 horsepower six cylinder and the automatic transmission are both original and in great running condition. The current owner and her husband purchased the car in 1995, they used in for pleasure driving only with many parades and car show activities. They decided to restore the car in 2003 , with new paint and trim work. Documented receipts of the restoration and other mechanical work will go with the car to its new owner. The car has been well maintained over the years by the same experienced technician , who is very well regarded and familiar with this car. The owner will also include the original Jaguar Operating, Maintenance and Service Handbook. [issued by Jaguar Cars LTD, Coventry, England].

This vehicle is being sold now by the widow of the owner, who passed away in 2004. It has been stored inside, on the owners premises , since his passing. Currently the Jaguar does need a new battery, a new brake line[ the part was ordered and never installed], and some minor paint repair on the left rear fender skirt.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
