Ebay item 5/11/07 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-Mark-IX-Saloon-JAGUAR-SALOON-1959_W0QQitemZ300110 ...
Current bid $1,200 reserve not met, 1 bid, 5 days left in auction. 82k miles.
Sellers description:
This Jaguar has been parked in a heated garage since 2000. It was tied up in an estate until this spring. The gentleman who owned it was preparing to restore it. The body is in above average condition, and the drive train was in good working order when parked in 2000. I have rolled the engine, and it has good ignition fire. I am unable to start the vehicle due to the fuel tanks being removed by the previous owner for replacement. I have the new fuel tanks but they are not installed.
The interior is in above average condition also.
Most of the rubber seals (doors, trunk etc) will need to be replaced. I have many extra parts that the previous owner had bought in case he needed them. The extra wood is pictured. I also have extra front and rear door windows, and a spare rear glass. There is also several other extra "mehanical parts".
This vehicle will take a minimal amount of work to get drivable and is a good car for a complete restoration
I have a certifacte from Jaguar that the previous owner obtained that documents the engine, transmission, and body all to be the orginal serial #`s.

Car returns to ebay 6/23/10 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-IX-Jaguar-Mark-IX-/140418526115
Current bid $5,100, no reserve, 8 bids 2 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
I purchased this car in 2007 with the intent to drive and improve the car over time. Times have changed and now its is time to sell. As bought in 2007, the body and interior are in above average condition. The frame and body are straight and solid with some small rust spots in the fenders. The original color was sherman green. Te car was repainted in the past to resemble Kim Novak's car in the movie Vertigo. The interior was replaced in the past with a green patterned vinyl. There is a small tear in the back seat. A heritage certificate from a previous owner indicates that the car has matching numbers. The original engin and transmission are good. This car starts right up and cruises along nicely.
Work performed under my watch includes: radiator refurbished, both gas tanks refurbished, two new SU fuel pumps, carbs cleaned and tuned, new starter and battery, exhaust manifold refurbished, new stainless steel exhaust with mild steel resonators, all four brake calipers and master cylinder rebuilt at apple hydraulics, lights work, wipers work however they park in the wrong position, gages work except speedo and tach not hooked up and not checked. Horn does not work and tires are old.
