This 1959 Jaguar Mk IX spent more than four decades with its original owner, and is powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six linked with a three-speed automatic transmission, both of which were overhauled circa 2012. The car wears a repaint in metallic green over red leather, and it features twin SU carburetors, a sunroof, front and rear disc brakes, power steering, forward auxiliary lighting, 16″ steel wheels, hubcaps, front and rear bench seats, rear picnic tables, and a pushbutton radio. This car is one of 10,009 Mk IX examples produced during the three-year production run. Finished from the factory in British Racing Green, the car was repainted in its current metallic shade of green under prior ownership. Exterior equipment includes a manually operated sunroof, fender-mounted side mirrors, rear fender skirts, auxiliary forward lights, and bumpers with overriders. Dings, scratches, paint imperfections, and touch-up paint are noted by the seller.
