Car was at auction in 2013
www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2013-08-31/car/1960-jaguar-mk-ix-saloon.aspx

Auction description:
Registration 6582EL
Chassis Number 774508 BW
Engine Number NC84558
Odometer reading 98,300 miles
Estimate £12,000 - £14,000
Hammer Sold - £12,320

Originally registered on 4th May 1960 to Henlys Ltd in Bournemouth and subsequently sold on 20th September of that year to Mr. Victor Stallard of Fordingbridge, it appears, according to the original buff log book and current V5 registration document, that this Jaguar has spent most - if not all - of its life, in and around the South of England. Finished in Sherwood green with leather trim, this Jaguar Mk. IX automatic is described by the vendor as being comfortable, pleasant and interesting to drive. Supplied with a current MoT test certificate valid until 19th December 2013 and a Heritage certificate, this elegant Jaguar will require a little time and investment, although appears quite sound and would probably be best described as a rolling restoration project.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
