Current bid $8,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1959 Jaguar Mark-IX ready for final body and interior restoration. The six cylinder twin overhead cam 3.8 liter engine which is shown before reinstallation has been completely rebuilt by a british jaguar mechanic to original specs. The engine develops 225 BHP with an 8.1 compression ratio. The cylinder head is aluminum ally with a cast iron block. Two SU carburetors and automatic choke feed the engine which starts up even in cold weather easily. The car has two rear fuel tanks which have been restored and coated inside and out for rust prevention. The right hand steering and manually operated transmission with electric overdrive will attract attension to this unique car. The suspension bushings have all been replaced. The steering has hydralic power assistance. The car is a 12 Volt (two 6volt in series) with positive ground.
The interior has been removed and all of the 35 pieces of wood trim as well as rear seat tray tables have been refinished and await re-installation. The interior floor has been coated with POR-15 rust preventative.
This car is ready for body and paint work. Some rust repair will need to be performed. I have all of the parts to the car plus 2 extra front fenders and 4 extra used doors which can be used for body panels if needed.
