Sellers description:
We are offering for auction our 1953 Mark VII manufactured as an export US saloon. It is left hand drive automatic transmission in beautiful condition. It was restored by a collector some time ago and painted in a non original black over burgundy paint with a restored burgundy interior. Seats, headliner and burled walnut interior is in excellent condition as evidenced by our winning awards vertually every time we show her. We have numerous 1st in class, best of show and peoples choice ribbons. It starts every time and runs great shifts perfectly however, since we do not drive it enough, it has a seal leak. It just needs to be driven more. It also appears that the transmission has been rebuilt at some time due to the newer paint. I have had a Jaguar mechanic go through the auto and rebuild the lower end of the engine including main bearings journals, connecting rod bearings, crank journals and oil pump. We have also rebuilt the brakes, cylinders, master cylinder fuel pumps and check valves, fuel tanks, carbs, etc. It has been converted to negative ground and has a stereo with CD, remote control and 4 speakers. Everything else is strickty orignal, I have replaced the radiator, added an auxiliary electric fan for cool running on hot days in a parade. All heater hoses, heater core and valve have been replaced. All glass is in perfect condition having replaced both front side windows. The tach and speedometer need to be rebuilt, hence, the mileage is unknown. Everyting else is in good working order. Wew have found only surface rust on the frame and only one small spot approximately 2" in diameter that was filled due to a dent. Most tools are included in the door panels, original jack and spare tire.
