Sellers description:
"Barn Fresh" 1951 Jaguar MkV Drop Head Coupe. This car was previously owned by the past owner since 1954! The past owner started a body off restoration and has the chassis finished. This unmolested car is in excellent condition (for it's age), original interior, original paint, original sheetmetal, original engine & transmission and all numbers match the chassis tag and also the Jaguar Heritage Certificate. The chassis is in excellent condition with no rust or patches and appeared to never have been in an accident, the chassis stamped number matches the tag. There are new tires mounted to the chassis. We purchased the car in a disassembled state and loosely reassembled it so don't be too critical of various panel gaps although they are incredibly tight and to a very high standard (Mercedes would be jealous of the panel fits!) The only minor rust perforation was at the bottom of the "B" post near the bottom of the door on both sides. There is zero rust perforation on the car except for the above mentioned panels the rest is light surface rust. The paint is 100% the original factory paint! The engine appears to be complete for the most part and the engine number matches the tag. The interior appears to be complete and in good condition including the wood veneer on the dashboard. The tool box in the boot is in great shape but sorry the tools did not come with the car. The trafficators are complete and functional. In the boot are the interior door panels, both window regulators, drawer and ash tray for the dash board, door and window winder handles, both seat tracks, horn, and a box of various parts. This is an excellent candidate for restoration and will make a correct numbers matching car for its next owner. Collectable car that has been hiding in the barn since 1954. This car comes with a clean Ohio title.
