Hi, really nice car, but the hood is not even close to "French Grey" which is a very light grey. Cheers!

This 1950 Jaguar Mark V drophead coupe was delivered new to Peter Satori Co. of Berkeley, California, and was exported to Italy by the current owner in 2001 and subsequently refurbished over a reported nine-year period. Work included repainting the car green, replacing the black cabriolet top, overhauling the engine, and reupholstering the seats and interior surfaces in green leather. The car is powered by a 3,486cc inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and additional equipment includes body-color 16″ steel wheels, independent front suspension, rear fender spats, driving lights, chrome bumpers, burl wood interior trim, and a locking glove compartment. Recent work is said to have included replacing the spark plugs. This Mk V convertible is now offered on dealer consignment in Cesena, Italy, with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, a spare parts catalog, an operating and maintenance handbook, a tool kit, and Italian registration.
The car left the factory finished in Suede Green and was repainted during the refurbishment, at which time the soft top and weatherstripping were replaced. Equipment includes a leaper hood ornament, rear fender spats, driving lights, and chrome bumpers.
Body-color 16″ wheels with polished Jaguar-branded covers are mounted with 6.70R16 Avon TurboSteel Radial tires, and a spare wheel and tire are stored in the boot. The car is equipped with independent front suspension and four-wheel drum brakes.
The front bucket seats, rear bench, and door panels were reupholstered in green leather during the refurbishment. Burl wood trim accents the dashboard, window pillars, and doors, and additional appointments include a dash-mounted rearview mirror, green carpets, a fold-down rear armrest, and a locking glove compartment.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 200-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 10k kilometers (~6k miles), all of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 3,485cc inline-six is fitted with a Lucas generator and sends power to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. The pistons were replaced during the refurbishment and work in preparation for the sale is said to have included replacing the spark plugs and performing an oil change.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists a August 30, 1950 manufacture date along with factory colors and serial numbers.
Photos of the car before the refurbishment are included in the sale.
