This E-type (1E76372BW) was my first car when I bought it over 17 years ago. It was love at first sight! I got it back on the road in 1998 and then we were a 2+2 family! Now I have three children and three other Jags from 1950 to 1998. After 16 years I sold my 1st car to a nice man from Hamburg, Germany, but could not live without an E-type! First start-up after one years hybernation. Originally I was just going to touch up a few things, but as many wires were missing or connected wrong, the carbs needed rebuilding, then I pulled the fuel tank, the radiator (that was recored) waterpump needed new bearings and seals. Then the fire engine red engine block started to get on my nerves, so I pulled the exhaust and inlet manifolds, tach gear, etc. etc. and stripped and painted the block, had the exh. manifolds welded, drilled and tapped new threads, painted. The front wings needed some touch-up as well, but now I finally had the radiator and waterpump back, so I could not wait to start her again. It was already 3AM and my hands were shaky, sorry for the jitter! :)
