Ebay item 8/22/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Opening bid $25,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 9 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Sale due to retirement (who knew) i bought this from an older man when I was a younger man, and now it is time to pass it on to a new owner.
The car is in excellent running condition chassis no. 627387 body no. g 2644 gear box no, sh 5389
The interior has been professionally redone using original leather carpets headliner and door panel imported from
England and installed at a cost of $15,000.00
Older restoration, that has lasted as the car is always garaged and only driven lightly once or twice a month to keep things moving.
Every car has a story, and this is this one is true::
This car was imported into Canada in 1948 by a wealthy industrialist,
the day of arrival was not a good day for the owner who passed to a better world the same day......
His widow left this car in their garage for over 20 years undriven......
The car was sold to a writer for an automotive magazine who installed a 1974 ford 252cu. engine and transmission as the
original had cracked over the years.
The rest of the car is original......this has made it very easy to obtain motor parts.....all other parts are readily available from classic spares in England and can be ordered by email using their catalogue. most are original old parts and some are reproductions.....
I prurchased the car over 20 years ago and had a off frame restoration done replacing all rubber parts with original new ones along with body
and interior (this was a very expensive 5 year project to get the car the way i wanted it........
the car comes with many spare parts as shown.......also ex wheels and starter ect not show in pictures. Also original manual and licience plates
This vehicle is in excellent condition, but after 62 years i am not stating it is perfect.....the emegency brake is complete, but i never attatched to rear wheels an easy job,one or two minor bubbles that are barely noticable along with a small indentation in the front bumper if you look close.all chrome is lovely. working trafficators...
The radio is one of the first removable transistor radios ever made, It came out of th Sha of Irans 1952 Rolls Royce...and plays perfectly in and out of the car...a real gem.... spare tire never used......all tires good wide whitewalls.
Car is responsibility of buyer to pick up or arrange to have picked up in Georgetown, Ontario, Canada l7g 5k9
Seller sells this with clear title and no liens or encumberances.
no liens or encumberances exist on this car. Milage is not correct as speedo has been disconnected for many years. this car may be driven or inspected by potential buyers .
