Sellers description:
This car has never had a full restoration but has had some bodywork done a number of years ago and is just running in a fully reconditioned engine. The engine is a rare SS (the orginal car for which has been recently located but not currently for sale) and the interior has been retrimmed in red vinyl some 10 years ago. The car is in very good condition inside and out and there are many photos available. The car is located in New Zealand and is one of a matching pair advertised on E-Bay some months ago. Its pair sold to California with the new owner very pleased with its condition. That car, although a 3.5L is not in as good a condition as the currently listed 2.5L. The cars were used in a successful wedding car hire business in New Zealand before being split up. The cars were featured in NZ Classic Car magazine more than once and in a special edition dedicated to Jaguar cars. The car was imported new to New Zealand in 1947 and spent most of its life in the relatively dry South Island and hence has not sufferred from rust as others would have. The car spent a couple of decades in the Queenstown motor museum and little is known of its history other than that. Don't take too much notice of the mileage as I don't know how true it would be but it doesn't really matter as it's just been reconditioned. The colour is black and green.
