Ebay item 3/16/17
www.ebay.com/itm/292056720456
Opening bid US $15,000, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction, seller alienlefty, 51k miles.

Sellers description:
I bought this car as a running driving MK2 with a really good rust free body. Overall the car is nice and I intended to get straight on with a back to bare metal respray. I removed all the paint and had the car resprayed by local professionals here in Venice Florida. They did a nice job in base/clear Ford Ruby Red. It was not green originally. Based on what came off, I think it was cobalt blue. Before the car was painted I did the combes style rear fender mods. This is done with rolled steel tubing welded to the original wheel spats that were trimmed back to get exactly the wheel arch I wanted. I planned to buy aftermarket wheels, so never did anything with the steelies. I also considered it an advantage to have bolt on wheels in this respect. Tires are good and the car could be driven on the existing wheels and tires if preferred. The heater box is out of the car and was disconnected. So some decisions to be made there. I was going to buy the aftermarket A/C kit as wife will never ride with me in the Florida heat in a non A/C car.
Basically, I have run out of time and motivation with everything else I have going on. I cannot see me finding the time to put the car back together and make the mods I wanted to do. It needs all the trim put back on plus the interior parts that were removed to do a proper color change. I did buy a new complete rubber kit from Welsh Jag and a clip kit from XK's so they go with the car. I have all the trim pieces that came off the car, plus most of the interior. I couldn't say specifically if anything is missing, but it was complete when I started. The chrome bumpers are excellent, one or two of the other pieces may need re chroming.
This car will be stunning when back together. Just look at the new cars in this metallic red color to get an idea. Combined with all the chrome that goes with a classic Jag it will be an eye catcher for sure. The car can be driven onto a trailer.

Car returns to ebay 2/18/20

www.ebay.com/itm/1964-Jaguar-Other/293472720979

Opening bid $11,000.00 Reserve not met 0 bids 6 days left in auction same seller, 51k miles.

Seller's description:

An impressively rust free 1964 MK2 Jaguar Saloon.

This car was taken back to bare metal for a full respray in a modern 2 stage metallic red.

New weather stripping installed in door openings, trunk etc. I bought a complete kit, and what is left is included with the car.

It has a small block Chevy motor with T350 auto trans. The car runs and drives well, but needs some detailing and finishing under the hood and the interior.

The heater box is loose and will need restoration, or replace it with the aftermarket A/C kit made specifically for these cars.

Good chrome all round. Trunk handle needs refinishing, missing 'AUTOMATIC' badge from the trunk lid.

The rear wheel arches have been reworked in steel (rolled tubing plus the original spats cut down) to look similar to Combes arches. Something that the racing MK2's were known for. They are so strong you could lift the car with them. Although I wouldn't recommend it.

Interior is vinyl probably from a later MK2. There is a tear in the drivers seat.

Wood trim is often an issue with these cars, this has a full set in good condition.

Tires are excellent 'Goodyear Integrity' with lots of tread left.

This car has four wheel disk brakes in very good order.

I had considered finding a rusty MK2 with an original Jaguar engine, and combining the two to make one original car, especially since now, MK2's are increasing in value. There are many cars advertised online for over $50,000.

This is a great car to take to the next level, either as a Chevy engined hot rod, or find a Jaguar engine and increase its value considerably.

Clear Florida Title in my name.
