The early sedan is fitted with a powerful, standard Jaguar 3.8-liter engine that is matched with a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The car recently benefited from a major service, where the team at Classic Showcase tended to the following: a comprehensive tune-up, SU carburetor rebuild, a gas tank cleaning (which included epoxy sealing and repainting), a new fuel pump, a new stainless-steel exhaust system, a full hydraulic system overhaul, new suspension bushings, brightwork replacement as needed, upholstery improvements and wet sanding and buffing the body.
