Ebay item 10/9/14
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-Other-Mark-2-Sedan-1962-jaguar-mark-ii-bought-new-in-cal ...
Car has a buy it now price of $18,000 for 20 days. Complete VIN on this car is J62216158. 81k miles.

Sellers description:
A documented 1962 Jaguar 3.8 4 speed car that was converted (1970-1971) to a 350 hp 1968 Oldsmobile 350 Ram Rod engine with Turbo 350 Transmission
The original clutch pedal assembly still under dash
All data plates confirm it was originally supplied with a 3.8 9 compression engine with a 4 speed manual
I have personally known the car since 1968.

My father has had every Jaguar from SS100 to XJS through the years. This car is incredible, unfortunately engine tranny swapped over 40 years ago, the replacement High horsepower replacement is instant fun and very reliable.

Exterior:
The car was painted once (same original color) and is in very nice condition.
There is not a hint of rust or accident ever... always garaged since brand new... always here in Carlsbad California. (nicest, very dry weather in the world)
Body is straight as an arrow.
Chrome is very good though rear bumper needs rechroming
Has old Maserati sideview mirrors aka "Baby Turbos" I have been looking for correct original mirrors.
Tires new

Interior:
Seats are excellent thought a vinyl material in correct pattern.
Carpets very nice
Wool Headliner very nice
Steering wheel excellent
Dash wood very good.
Radio works but stays on

Drivetrain:
1968 Oldsmobile 350 10.25 compression (extremely low mile engine)
Special Rochester Quadrajet Hurst Olds Carburetor (rebuilt)
Holley aluminum Two pod custom air cleaner
New Aluminum Radiator
New Fuel pump
New front rear seal
New oil pan seal
New Waterpump
New Aluminum radiator expansion tank (not installed goes with car)
Transmission is Turbo 350 and is excellent working condition (Cosmetically planned to put Lokar Shifter kit to make it look like manual , they are very nice and cost 2-300 dollars, current one works excellent)
Exhaust system is like new, though slight exhaust leak on left side, bought new gaskets (goes with car) but then considering to replace original exhaust manifolds with hugger headers (2-300 dollars), for more loud sound.
The Mark2 Jaguars were successful race cars, mainly due to high out put motors and 4 wheel disk brakes. The brakes work very well though i have had no reason to check them.
Has original spare rim and Owners manual as well as factory service manual
Original Jack still in trunk

This jaguar is a joy to drive...

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
