Acquired by its current owner in September 2022, this car is a fine example of the world’s first sports saloon. According to an inspection report dated from the 6th April 2023, this Jaguar Mk2 “is in satisfactory condition both mechanically and in terms of its bodywork and interior”. It also specifies that the engine “runs properly without any abnormal noises”, that the bodywork is “healthy, with a quality repaint job and in great condition (...) with no signs of corrosion, dents or accident”. The interior is “redone according to original specifications, clean and very well preserved”. In addition to its original equipment, the car is fitted with a Pioneer ARC car radio with cassette player and electric power steering. Safety-wise, it includes a battery switch and etched windows. In September 2022, this car had a standard service carried out for €1,500, including the replacement of the accessory belt, brake release, engine and gearbox oil change, as well as replacement of engine seals

This is therefore a beautiful example of a Jaguar Mk2, with its grand 3.8-litre twin-cam 6-cylinder engine, its interior combining wood and leather in the purest British tradition, its sleek and sporty design which reminds us that, in its time, it was truly the queen of the road.
