    Auction description:
    Thursday, January 20, 2011
    1960 Jaguar MK II Sedan
    LOT: 126
    Chassis No. 212739
    Offered Without Reserve

    - Cost-no-object restoration by Harbor Auto Restoration
    - Very desirable color combination
    - Enhanced drivability with five-speed gearbox
    - A multiple JCNA and AACA award-winning example

The Mk II 3.8 offered here received a cost-no-object, multiple show-winning restoration by Harbor Auto Restoration of Rockledge, Florida. A modern five-speed T5 gearbox is the sole exception to its correct, original mechanical specification, which improves drivability immensely. Appearance features include a lustrous black finish, a contrasting biscuit leather interior, abundant polished walnut veneer and Wilton wool carpeting. An attractive Derrington wood-rimmed wheel, chrome wire wheels and whitewall radials complete the picture.

On the show field, the Mk II earned 99.960 points and Best in Class at the JCNA South Florida competition in 2002, followed by the AACA’s Grand National Senior Award. More recently, it received Best in Class at the Palm Beach International Concours in 2006. As offered, the Mk II is complete with a tool kit, a spare tire and wheel, a jack, and a reproduction owner’s handbook.

    Sellers description:
    1960 Jaguar Mark 2 Sedan
    VIN: 212739
    Body: S004877
    Engine: LA4926

This luxurious black finished MK2 3.8 received a no-expense-spared award-winning restoration by Harbor Auto Restoration of Rockledge, Florida. A modern five-speed T5 gearbox was an added feature to the otherwise all-original mechanical and full cosmetic restoration. The biscuit leather interior, well-preserved polished walnut dash, and Wilton wool carpeting make this an exceptionally attractive automobile to drive. The Derrington wood-rimmed wheel and black wire wheels with radial tires add to this already stunning Jaguar.

212739 earned 99.960 points and Best in Class at the JCNA South Florida competition in 2002, followed by the AACA's Grand National Senior Award. In 2006, it received Best in Class at the Palm Beach International Concours.

After undergoing a meticulous inspection and detail at Canepa , this Mark 2 is offered with a complete took kit, spare tire and wheel, jack, and owner's handbook. It is in concours condition and ready for show and driving.
