I believe we are the third owners. We bought it in 1991 from what I believe was the second owner, and we have the paperwork from him buying it in NM on September 9, 1960, so the first owner didn't have it long at all. The second owner's name was Norman C. Greenberg. The advertised price on it at the time (used) was $3825. The dealer Norman bought it from was The Motorsport Corporation in Albuquerque, NM (and also in Santa Fe, NM)

Current bid $8,988 reserve not met, 12 bids 5 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This car was delivered new on January 7, 1960 in Alamagordo, New Mexico.
It spent most of its life in New Mexico. As a dry desert car, you can expect the underside to be rust free and this is vital in Monoque construction cars. I have owned the car since June 29, 1991. Nothing was done to the body other than basic cleanup. The paint is not perfect, as it does have a couple scratches, but it's very nice and looks presentable when walking around the car.

* This is an early production model with recessed sun visors.
* 3.8 liter, 4 speed with working overdrive.
* All original numbers matching car.
* Old English white exterior with red interior.
* I believe I have the original selling paperwork
* I have all receipts that total over $25,000 spent to date.
* The engine has been completely rebuilt and most all else has been redone mechanically, including several upgrades to Coombs racing style changes. Listed here are some of the changes done:
* New brakes complete with SS pistons.
* New Stainless steel exhaust
* New Straight port head, with complete valve job done (Matching number head included with all the bits to easily redo to original if desired)
* New Triple 2” SU carb setup installed
* New Power Rack and Pinion steering added.
* New High capacity generator added (optional original equipment)
* New Stainless steel headers
* New Minilite style mag wheels with tires, yes real spline hubs with three wing center cap (original white painted wire wheels included)
* Coombs style rear spats added (original ones also included)
* Rebuilt rear end.
* Fog lights were added, the original equipment ones including dash switch
* New seats added throughout (all original seats included- the red leather is in pretty good shape for the age)
* Lower engine rebuild in 2009- engine main bearings, rod bearings, and 4.2L high volume oil pump
* New flex-fan---runs COOL and sweet
* Period seat belts (lap belts) added to front seats
* Complete original tool kit and box in spare tire area
* Original built-in Motorola AM radio with built-in antenna
* Service manuals and lots of bits included.
* Set of aftermarket floormats included. The originals are still in pretty good condition except the driver's mat, which shows a little wear near the gas peddle. We put these extra mats in to prevent the originals from wearing.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
