Offered for sale April 2011:

1961 Jaguar MK2 3.8 Litre Automatic, Olde English White with Navy Leather. Power Steering. Chrome wire wheels. 39120 miles. Vin 207152BW.

This Jaguar 3.8 Mk2 was restored in the mid 1990's and used by its last owner as his daily driver for seven years. The combination of 3.8 litres with automatic and power steering make a very usable combination. The Olde English White contrasts nicely with the navy leather trim. The chrome knock on wire wheels and Motolita steering wheel complete the look.

This is a very honest example of an older restoration. The body shell is very sound with on signs of corrosion or repair. The leather trim, walnut veneer and carpets are still in very good condition. $10,000 has just been spent on the mechanics to bring the car up to scratch. The brakes, steering, suspension, cooling and electrical systems have been worked through. The history shows that the engine was fully rebuilt in the 1990's and remains very strong with excellent oil pressure. This original 3.8 litre car is terrific value and will go on to give good service.

Price $34,950

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
