Formerly part of a private Jaguar collection in South Africa that moved with the owner to Australia in October 2004, this very smart Mark 2 Jaguar was restored both cosmetically and mechanically. The owner installed a rebuilt Mark X motor but retains the original four-speed manual gearbox as per the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate. The current owner bought the Jaguar in February 2006 and has undertaken further work, including a new clutch and power steering rack (with an Engineer's Certificate supplied) and a new set of wire wheels and splines, with all work performed by specialists Caulfield Jag. Other improvements include the installation of a period Blaupunkt radio and the removal of a later wing period mirror and the fitting of slimmer Coombs-style spats (the originals come with the car). A period Derrington sports steering wheel and original Jaguar tool kit also come supplied. The owner is reluctantly offering the car for sale due to lack of space and has enjoyed his relatively short period of ownership. Please note the vehicle is to be sold registered in Victoria and a roadworthy certificate will be supplied after the sale. The Heritage number plates are not included in the sale.

This vehicle is now available for inspection at 321 Warrigal Road, Cheltenham Vic 3192

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
