The definitive MKII is the 3.8 with the manual + overdrive transmission, which is what we have here. Originally supplied to Bryson's Jaguar in Australia the car remained on that continent for 33 years before being repatriated to its country of origin in 1994.
As a virtually rust free example, it required very little in the way of structural restoration other than paintwork. The interior was completely refurbished with new leather, carpets, headlining and a set of rare, but originally available, Reuter reclining, front seats. The car sits on the correct "Curly Hub" wire wheels, which are chrome with stainless steel spokes and is complete with a Heritage Certificate, which confirms that this is a "Numbers Matching" car.

Finished in OEW (cream) with red interior, the car has recently benefited from a brake system overhaul and a new "high torque" starter motor.

Described as being an outstanding example with rust free bodywork, perfect brightwork and chrome, the car is said to drive exceptionally well.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
