1960 Jaguar Mk2 3.8-Litre Saloon
Chassis no. 202295DN
Engine no. 7B 50374-8
Representing the model in its ultimate and most desirable 3.8-litre, manual/overdrive specification, this Jaguar Mk2 was first registered on 3rd November 1960 in the UK to Corbett Farms, a company located in Leominster (see copy of original logbook on file). The car was purchased by the current owner in 1995, fresh from a 'ground upwards' restoration undertaken by Robin Burdon Classic Jaguar, which included conversion to left-hand drive (details on file). In 2001 the engine and gearbox were completely overhauled in the UK by VSE Engineering and since then the Jaguar has been used and maintained as an everyday road car by the current owner based in Monaco. The Jaguar Mk2 is a popular subject for improvement and this example incorporates a power steering conversion, alternator electrics, wired-in auxiliary battery (in boot), rear suspension anti-roll bar and a Kenlowe electric cooling fan. The original steering rack, original dynamo and a set of painted wire wheels shod with winter tyres are included in the sale. Finished in dark blue with red leather interior, the car is described by the vendor as in generally good condition and offered with sundry restoration invoices, FIVA identity card, conformity attestation, Carte Grise (Monaco) and Contrôle Technique.
