“Bryan Wingfield Racing”, well known for their exceptional Ford GT40 restorations and Jaguar C and D- type replicas, was commissioned to build this beautiful C type replica with rare left hand drive, by a museum in in 1984. The car is based on a 1960 Jaguar Mk2 3.4 litre. True to his high standards, Bryan Wingfield constructed an exact replica of the C type chassis which was then clothed in an aluminium coachwork as per original. In August 2014 the Jaguar was imported into Switzerland by an enthusiastic Jaguar collector. After conversion to a 5-speed gearbox and preparation by a well-known Swiss Jaguar specialist the C type finally received its MOT approval in October 2014 followed by a registration. In November of the same year, the then cream coloured Jaguar was repainted in the actual black and the green interior was recovered in new brown and black leather with the seats also receiving a heating system. The whole picture was completed by four new chrome wire wheels shod with new tyres. Since then, the sports car was used on special occasions and has only covered a mere 2’200 miles since its first MOT in 2014. Needless to say, it presents itself in absolutely outstanding condition. We are proud to offer this chance to acquire a very fast C type replica with exceedingly rare left-hand drive and a Swiss registration. The most recent Veteran MOT was completed in August 2023 allowing this exciting brute to be enjoyed immediately.
