THE INTERIOR
Great condition
Mushroom leather with red piping
Exceptional sophisticated interior
Distinguished class awaits you inside this MKII Jag. A marriage of Mushroom Leather and Walnut veneer provides the occupants with an elegant experience, only a classic Jaguar is capable of. Condition wise the car is very good, with only small signs of use present.
The leather bucket seats are in very good condition, providing excellent comfort and support while also looking stylish and cool. The veneer appears very much original, as do the buttons and gauges which are reported to be in working condition. There are the smallest signs of age creeping through but overall, this is one of the most enchanting interiors produced by the iconic car manufacturer.
THE EXTERIOR
Carmine red
Excellent condition
Minor blemishes present
With an interior that good, Jaguar had to make sure the outside was just as enchanting and unsurprisingly they did just that. Captivating, handsome aesthetics flow superbly from front to back, heightened with chrome and aristocratic wire wheels. Repainted Carmine Red during a restoration in 1990 the car is in wonderful condition, with only a few blemishes to note.
The chrome gleams well but does carry some patina in places, as does the paintwork which is presented very well with some very small sections such as the rear wheel arch which appears to have had a repair at some point but generally, the car is very good and one of the better examples we have come across. Jaguar certainly created something special when they made the MKII, it is without question a beautiful car, to witness and experience.
THE MECHANICS
3.8L Straight-six
Manual with overdrive
A recent master & slave cylinder but a new spare slave is also provided
During our visit, the car was started and manoeuvred multiple times, there was no hesitation or dramatics, just pure bliss provided by the rumble of the iconic 3.8L straight-6. The health of the car is reported to be good and the car has benefited from a recent slave cylinder replacement.
The car is accompanied by a folder of some of its maintenance history, for example, invoices for a clutch master and slave dated 2022 are present plus a front piston and an array of past MOT certificates are also included. Records show that the car has only covered around 500 miles in the last decade but the car is described as driving beautifully.
