Car to be at auction 3/18
www.brightwells.com/classic-motoring/leominster-classic-vintage/leominster-class ...

Auction description:
Registration Date 1967
Make & Model Jaguar MkII 340 Manual Overdrive
Colour British Racing Green
Registration Number LHP 340F
Chassis No. 1J50184DN
Engine size 3,442 cc
Engine No. 1J50195-8
Documents V5C; old V5; buff reg doc; invoices; 22 old MOTs; owners manuals & service book with 4 stamps; current MOT July-18
Estimate £16,000 - £18,000

Dating from October 1967, this manual with overdrive 340 Saloon has had just four owners and presents well in British Racing Green with beige leather trim. The interior retains that lovely Jaguar leather smell and it even has its original Motorola radio.

It is showing just 75,000 miles which is supported by 22 old MOT certificates in the history file along with the original log book and service booklet showing four stamps. Numerous invoices are also present along with old registration documents and the original toolkit and jack.

The current MOT runs until July 2018 and we understand that the car is mechanically sound with a recent stainless steel exhaust, upgraded power steering, an alternator and electronic ignition. Sitting on refurbished wire wheels, this is a very attractive example with desirable specification.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
