Note: This car is claimed to be a 340 but the car number shows it as a 240. The numbers don't really cross very well, so if it's a typo it's a very odd coincidence.

This 1969 car is a superb example of the Jaguar 340 Mk2 saloon and was sold by ourselves in September 1995 to the present owner and vendor. The previous owner had spent in excess of ú20000 on the car over a two year period and all the invoices were kept and the car won its class in the 1993 Jaguar Drivers Club concours event - a testament to the quality of the professional work done.
It was one of the last cars to leave the factory being manufactured in December 1969 and it is finished in Blue with Grey and Blue trim, has a current M.O.T. until May of next year and has the manual gearbox with overdrive.
A stunning car which is very reluctantly for sale by its present ownerdue to other commitments.

They say it's a 340 but the serial number recorded makes it a 240. The 340 numbers are completely different, so I think it's a conversion.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
