This Jaguar 240 Mk2 Saloon will be driven from Hampshire to the sale by the present owner who is effectively only the second owner because when he acquired the car it had been owned by one family from new having been passed to the first owner's son-in-law when he died.
The recorded mileage to date is 58685 miles which would appear to be correct from new, according to the history file of this manual/overdrive car, and all the panel work and fittings would appear to be original. The braking and fuel systems have been overhauled as necessary, a new stainless steel exhaust system has been fitted and the later models are much faster than the originals and this example with the straight port cylinder head and twin SU carburretors will run on unleaded fuel.
