www.osenat.com/html/fiche.jsp

Auction description:
Automobiles et motos de collection
dimanche 17 juin 2018
Lot 248
18,000 - 24,000 €
1968 JAGUAR 240 MK.II
Serial number IJ30518
Recent body restoration
Complete mechanical maintenance
French gray registration card

The presented copy is in a very good aesthetic state since it has been completely restored bodywork and renovated upholstery. Many accessories are new to like lights, headlights, turn signals and chromes, while the mechanics has been completely revised. Indeed, carburetors, ignition, brakes, bearings, radiator, links, hubs and part of the beam electric have been redone to nine or replaced. The cuts were taken and the deviations are minimal, confirming the good health of the engine of the sedan.

So this is a very nice copy of one of the most popular sedans in the world of the collection.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
