Ebay item 8/15/22
www.ebay.com/itm/284932771678
Current bid $15,000 no reserve 1 bid 6 days left in auction, seller lindaandi, 70k miles. Complete VIN on this car is J661D76122BW, indicating it was originally sold in California.

Seller's description:
This beautiful Jaguar MK10 belongs to my good friend Jo, he bought the car in August 1969 when the car was almost new, since that time it has been his baby, the car has wanted for nothing. A few weeks ago he had a man come to the house to fix two scratches that where driving him mad but on seeing the miss match the guy had done Jo ran him off and hung up his driving gloves forever, Jo will be 90 years old next birthday.
The mechanics of the car are perfect, run and drive just beautiful, the engine bay you can eat your dinner off, she starts instantly with no rattles and huge oil pressure, a early triple carb 4,2 has to be worth 10 to 12k alone, new full stainless exhaust system, the brakes have just had a full overhaul including new booster, electrics all work as should including the windows that are still fast working, A/C fitted and working but would benefit converting to R34. The interior is a wonderful place to be, lots of walnut and soft leather, all in really nice condition and needing nothing. The chrome is all super nice condition. The bodywork is rust free with no damage anywhere and really is in nice condition other than the bad paint match on the passengers door. Massive history file from new, all books and records from day one. MK10s really come on the market, this would be a fantastic car for any collector, Starting at a low price with no reserve it is not about the money but about it getting a great new home. As you can imagine, this car has been with Jo for most of his life but it really is time to let go.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
