Ebay item 8/12/22
www.ebay.com/itm/374210563694
Opening bid US $1,000 reserve not met, no bids 6 days left in auction, seller significantcars, 63k miles.

Seller's description:
This car was purchased in August 2021 from Bob "Kermit" Wilson of 'The Queen's Toy Box' in Lisle IL. It had been sored for the previous 25 years in a climate controlled building. It appears to have had one respray but has never been disassembled. All chrome and body fittings are in excellent original condition. The original leather upholstery looks great with no rips or tears in the seats or the door cards. The Tachometer, Ammeter, Oil pressure, and Temp gauges work as they should. The original AM radio works perfectly! It's a very enjoyable accessory when driving the car. All the switches on the dash work. All the lights work as they should inside and outside the car. The heating and ventilation controls work as they should. The door seals were replaced under current ownership and make for a very nice and quiet ride with very little wind noise. There are really no rattles, squeaks, or unpleasant noises when driving the car, just the way a Jaguar should be. The paint shows very well but does have some minor scuffs and dings from use and storage as shown in the pictures. It's also had some rust repair at the front of the rear wheel openings. The underbody is solid with absolutely no signs of previous rust repairs.

Chassis, Brakes, and Suspension:
Under current ownership, it's had 4 new Galaxy Vitour 185R15 radial tires installed with new tubes. The brake lines were flushed and all new hoses were installed. Both front calipers were rebuilt. New sway bar bushings were also installed. It appears to have had new ball joints installed under previous ownership. The car rides great and stops straight. It has the DG250 Automatic which goes through all 3 gears and has had a recent fluid and filter change. The Speed Hold switch on the dash holds it in Intermediate gear as it should. The emergency brake works and illuminates the indicator light on the dash as it should.

Engine:
It's had a recent cylinder head resurfacing and full valve job. The engine starts with a touch of the button whether cold or hot and the starting carburator still engages automatically just like when it left the factory. The 3.8 doesn't smoke or make any noises. The fuel tanks were both cleaned and lines flushed. The left side fuel pump was rebuilt. Both tanks work and are controlled by the original switch on the dash. The carbs were taken apart and cleaned. The Spark plugs and wires are new as well as the distributor cap, rotor, and points. The voltage regulator is also new. The battery is 1 year old.

Known Issues.
The stitching in the top of the rear seat back has pulled loose from sun exposure, but could be re-stitched. The speedometer cable needs to be replaced (currently out of stock at Moss Motors) but the speedometer itself works (checked with a drill). It registers speed, but there's a delay in it's reading. The original clock is present but does not work. The right side fuel tank level does not register on the gauge, but the gauge does work for the left side and shows the correct fuel level.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
