Car to be at auction 10/08
www.barons-auctions.com/details.php
Auction description:
Manufacturer Jaguar Cars
Model MKX 4.2 Saloon
First Registered 1966
Registration No LLP77D
Engine No tba
Chassis No ID52860BW
MOT Nov 2008
Colour Duo Tone Blue
Details
The example offered here is two owner, beautiful example of a later, 4.2 litre version, which has been in the same ownership for 38 years and has had just two owners from new. The indicated 93000 miles is warranted as correct but the car has benefited from a full engine rebuild in 2006-2007 and though no problems were found it was rebuilt using new piston rings, mains and big-end bearings. The head was also overhauled at the time. Since then the car has covered nominal mileage.
Finished in midnight blue over opalescent blue with the original grey leather interior, the car is in very original condition. It is equipped with the original, optional and very rare air conditioning system and a full-length Webasto sunroof, an 8-Track stereo system and three speed Borg Warner auto transmission.
This is a truly excellent example of a late MKX, rather than a 420G but the vendor has equipped the car with the 420G side mouldings, boot badge and duo-tone paintwork. The car is only offered for sale due to the failing health of the elderly vendor.
Note: This car was offered on the 9th September but the elderly Doctor owner had locked the history file away and was unable to access it. The history files will have been accessed for the October sale.
This motor car can be viewed on our stand at Beaulieu on the 13th and 14th September.
