Auction description:
Sale 17263 - Collectors' Motor Cars, Motorcycles and Automobilia, 18 Nov 2009
Yorkshire Event Centre, Harrogate
Lot No: 449A
By order of the executors and sold at No Reserve
1965 Jaguar MKX Saloon
Registration no. KPB 355C
Chassis no. 1D 51420BW
Engine no. 7D 52208-9

Sold for £1,955 inclusive of Buyer's Premium

This 4.2-litre MKX saloon has resided in Kelso in the Scottish border region and is sold by order of the executors.

The car is finished in Indigo blue with black leather interior and is offered for sale without reserve. There are two past MoTs on file, one dated 1973, the other 1978, both with odometers readings of 46,184 – that also represents the present mileage. Under bonnet appearance would suggest the car suffered a cooling problem at some stage.

Obviously not run for many years and sold as seen, this luxurious Jaguar saloon is sold as a restoration project or for spares. Offered with the aforementioned MoTs and Swansea V5 registration document.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
