The car offered here has two files brimming with history which go back to when the car was new, and follow through to the present day. This very special, low mileage car has always been in excellent order having been exhibited at Beaulieu in the 1980's and NEC in 1998, 2000 and most recently pride of place on the JEC stand in 2013. In 2000, a fastidious purchaser wished to take the vehicle to the ultimate level by disassembling, stripping and preparing it to the best possible standard devoting 1,800 hours over an 18 month period investing around £40,000 on top of the £16,500 purchase price! Since then, the Jaguar has been enjoyed touring Spain, France and extensively within the UK. It remains in magnificent condition.

Guide Price: £21000 to £24000

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
