1967 Daimler Sovereign 420L This 1967 Daimler Sovereign is a left-hand drive collector’s car purchased new by the British Consulate in Victoria, British Columbia. The car continued as a state vehicle through the early 1980s, when it was sold to private owners. The owners recently passed away and their sons inherited the car. The paint and interior are original to the car. The transmission is a 4-speed manual with overdrive. The seller is representing this Daimler with a clean Washington State title. The dark green paintwork is original, and is matched by painted steel wheels with hubcaps and trim rings. A few paint blemishes are shown in the gallery, and the trim appears to be complete save for a missing rubber grommet on the right rear bumper mount. The chrome trim has held up well with the exception of the rear bumper. Save for missing carpets, the interior is complete. The original leather on the front seats shows degradation, while the rear seats and interior door panels appear to have held up better. The original radio has been replaced with a 1980s-vintage Blaupunkt. 78k miles are shown. Mechanically, the Sovereign matched the contemporary Jaguar 420; power comes from a 4.2L inline-six mated to a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Several photos of the underside of the car are provided in the gallery. The owner’s original manual, air cleaner, various assorted small parts, and a file with some records are included with the sale. Less than 500 Daimlers remain worldwide. This is a very unique opportunity to own a beautiful collector’s car that turns heads due to its rarity.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
