Ebay item 4/2/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-DAIMLER-JAGUAR-J671A70071BW_W0QQitemZ180102225883
Current bid $1,009 reserve not met, 7 bids, 7 days left in auction. Complete VIN on the car is J671A70071BW.

Sellers description:
After i bought this car I contacted Jag 420 and this is what they wrote back to me. "OK, what you have there is a bit of a rare car!!! Put another way, there were only 355 of them made. 1A70001 was the first LHD Daimler to be made so yours was the 71st. Wheather or not it was the 1st sold directly to the US is probably going to remain a mystery. Daimlers were not sold out of the UK much because Mercedes Daimler threatened a lawsuit for obvious reasons. I know of one other so far owned by Bob Mccanally in Louisiana. When I bought the car from Corona California I had the radiator refurbished, the gas tanks removed, flushed, refurbished, replaced one fuel pump, the water pump and got the car running. before I started the restoration process the car was running though the trans was not shifting smoothly and the brakes though functional obviously needed attention. the body on this car is in great condition as is the chassis. I removed the dash board complete with dials with the intent of restoring the woodwork, I also removed the carpet which I also planned to replace. There is a small area on the rear quarter drivers side that has had a repair at some time probably a small dent. So thats as the car is now a perfect candidate for someone to take over where I left off, rare and complete with matching numbers. My 17 year old is not happy about me selling this car but I have no choice because of finances and I assure you that I am not selling for any other reason, whoever buys this car will be as happy as I was when I first got. The pictures show the dash still in place but as i have already explained i removed it to start the restoration process.
