Sellers description:
This is a nice car that drives really well. Used on a regular basis. The 2.5 ltr. V8 sounds great! Jag MII's are pretty rare but this Daimler version is even more so. The V8 has the same torgue but at a lower rpm (3500 vs 4000). If you've never driven either of these cars you will be surprised. Read any period critique, these cars were always given high praise for their road manners, not to mention the sumptious interiors.

This car is in good "driver" condition. It get's driven pretty regularly now and doesn't really need any fixes. Very nice ride, engine sounds healthy, tranny shifts well, brakes are smooth and straight.

The interior looks to be mostly all original, door panels may have been replaced. Overall a nice patina. The leather is still supple and smells good. Seats are not broken down. The wood is in good shape, top dash lacquer is kinda beat/dry but still very presentable. Good headliner and sunvisors. Carpet is OK, could use a little TLC. All in all a great environment to settle into.

The body has had a repaint. Car was originally royal blue, inside the gas filler shows it. Currently it is quite presentable but does have some paint defects. The lower front fenders have some blistering, the rockers look as if they may have had some doctoring when repainted many years ago. The body is actually very good though. Underneath, floors, door bottoms, trunk etc. are very solid. Not a rust bucket at all. Some dings. Certainly usable as is, or do a pretty simple refurbishment/paint and have a showpiece.

Chrome and glass is all good.

In short, a great driving car you can enjoy now.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
