Car to be at auction 8/16

Auction description:
August 20, 2016 auction
1966 Daimler 250 Saloon (V8)
Registration NBP 169D
Chassis Number 1A11217BW
Engine Number 1A11217BW
Odometer reading 81,041 miles
Estimate £12,000 - £15,000

These delightfully handsome Daimlers are becoming highly sought after and when inspecting this vehicle it is easy to understand why. The light blue coachwork on NBP 169D is unmarked and the dark blue leather interior has a beautiful patina, complimented by a highly figured wooden dashboard. The vendor is selling his pride and joy for health reason, indeed when he was looking to purchase a Daimler 250 he spent over two years searching for such a fine example. The engine is very smooth and quite in operation and the automatic transmission performed faultlessly on our test drive. Sitting proudly on chrome wire wheels, this Daimler is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate valid until 17th February 2017 (no advisories) and a good history folder. A great opportunity to purchase one of Coventry's finest, in splendid, immediately usable condition.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
